Different types of valve ends are classified according to connection mode, functional use, drive mode, structural characteristics and materials. Here are the details:
1.By Connection Method
Threaded connection valve: The body has internal or external threads and is connected to pipeline thread.
Flange connection valve: The body of the valve has a flange connected to the pipeline flange. It is easy to install and disassemble and is the most commonly used form of structure.
Welded connection valve: The valve body has a welding groove and is welded to the pipe. Suitable for high pressure or high temperature operation.
Clamp connection valve: The valve body has a clamping device and is connected with a pipe clamping device.
Sleeve connection valve: connected to pipe through sleeve.
Clip connection valve: A form of connection in which the valve and pipe ends are bolted together directly.
2.By Functional Use
Interceptor: Used to connect or intercept media such as gate valves, stopper valve, stopper valve, ball plug valves, butterfly valves valve, diaphragm valve, etc.
Check valve: prevents the media in the pipe from returning, such as the bottom valve of the water pump.
Safety valve: prevents the medium pressure in piping or equipment from exceeding the specified value for the purpose of safety protection.
Regulator: adjust the media pressure, flow and other parameters, such as regulator valve, throttle valve, pressure relief valve, etc.
Diverter valve: media in distribution, separation, or mixing pipelines, such as distribution valves and steam traps.
3. By Driving Method
Automatic valve: depends on the energy of the medium itself to make the valve move, such as safety valve, pressure relief valve, steam trap, check valve, automatic regulating valve, etc.
Power drive valve: driven by various power sources, including electric valve (electric drive), pneumatic valve (compressed air drive), hydraulic valve (hydraulic drive), etc.
Manual valve: use hand wheel, handle, lever or sprocket, if necessary, gear or worm gear reducer can be installed.
4. By Structural Characteristics
Severance type: The opening and closing part (disc) is driven by the valve stem and runs up and down the center line of the valve seat.
Plug type: The opening and closing part (gate valve) is driven by the valve stem and moves perpendicular to valve seat center line.
Valve: The opening and closing part (conical plug or balls) revolve around their center line.
Swing valve: The opening and closing part (disc) rotates on an axis outside the seat.
Butterfly: The opening and closing part (disc) revolves around a fixed axis inside the valve seat.
Type of slip valve: Open and closed sections slide perpendicular to the channel.
Classification of valve body material.
material valve: Body and other parts are made of metallic materials such as cast iron valves, carbon steel valves, alloy valves, copper alloy valves, etc.
Non-metallic valves: Body and other parts are made of non-metallic materials such as plastic valves, ceramic valves, enamel valves, fiberglass valves, etc.
Metal Body Liner Valve: The body is metallic in appearance, and the main surface in contact with the medium is metal Liner Valve, such as rubber Liner Valve, plastic Liner Valve, ceramic Liner Valve, etc.
